Placing a Post-Production Order

A step-by-step Pixeldotedit guide based on practical professional post-production workflows.

Step 1

Log in to your account

Use the same studio account that will own the upload and download history.

Step 2

Open the Post-Production Order form

Start a new order from the account dashboard.

Step 3

Enter a clear job name

Match the order name to the folder or catalog you will upload.

Step 4

Choose the correct file type

Select Lightroom Catalog/Smart Previews, RAW, DNG or JPG based on the actual upload.

Step 5

Enter the submitted image count

The order count should match the uploaded count.

Step 6

Choose the job type

Select the photography genre that best fits the event or session.

Step 7

Add culling details

Enter the final selection target and any heavier/lighter section notes.

Step 8

Add color correction details

Enter the final color-correction count and verify that it makes sense with the culling target.

Step 9

Choose delivery format

For Lightroom workflows, return a catalog. Add JPG Export if you want rendered files.

Step 10

Add creative edit counts

Enter Blog, Noir, Premium, Beauty or Hybrid quantities.

Step 11

Add Retouching instructions

Use image-specific notes and approve a quote or time allowance.

Step 12

Choose Batch Services

Select B&W, Dodge & Burn, Sync Capture Time, Skin Smoothing, JPG Export or Gallery Upload.

Step 13

Choose turnaround

Use Standard unless a rush has been confirmed.

Step 14

Choose submission method

Select web upload, shared folder or another approved method.

Step 15

Review permissions and promotion fields

Confirm any image-use option and applicable promotion code.

Step 16

Review the estimate

Check service totals and membership savings before authorization.

Step 17

Submit the order

Wait for the confirmation screen before closing the browser.
