Terms of Service

1. Agreement and service relationship

These Terms govern use of the Pixeldotedit website, accounts, editing services, packages and memberships. A submitted order, approved quote or subscription can incorporate additional service-specific terms. If a signed studio agreement conflicts with this public page, the signed agreement should control to the extent stated in that agreement.

2. Photographer responsibilities

• Upload only files the photographer is legally entitled to process and share.
• Obtain client/model releases or other permissions required for photography and outsourced post-production.
• Provide accurate counts, service selections, deadlines, notes and source files.
• Maintain an independent backup of all originals before transfer.
• Do not upload unlawful content or files that infringe another person’s rights.

3. Scope of editing services

Each service has a defined scope. Color Correction is not the same as high-end retouching; Batch Editing is not image-specific custom work; Blog Edits are digital-output services; Custom Retouching is art-directed and quoted by complexity. Requests outside the ordered scope may require a service upgrade, additional quote or revised delivery time.

4. Quotes, regional pricing and taxes

Pricing may vary by country/region, currency, service level, image count, membership status, complexity and taxes. The website can detect a region for display, but the final amount shown in the order/quote is controlling. Currency conversion, card processing and local taxes can affect the final charge. Regional pricing may be changed for future orders without changing already accepted quotes.

5. Production times and rush orders

Turnaround targets begin only after the order is complete and all required files/instructions have been received. Rush service is subject to production capacity and must be explicitly accepted. Holidays, missing files, unclear art direction, client proofing delays or scope changes can extend delivery.

6. Revisions and quality issues

If work falls below the documented standard for the purchased service, the photographer should report the issue promptly and allow Pixeldotedit a reasonable opportunity to rework it. Requests that change the creative direction, exceed the service scope or add new instructions may be billed separately. Do not overwrite or destructively edit files before submitting a quality claim when doing so would prevent fair review.

7. Custom Retouching

Custom Retouching requires clear written art direction. Quotes are estimates based on the materials provided. If new complexity is discovered, production may pause for approval. Competition entries remain the photographer’s responsibility; the photographer must verify the competition’s outside-editing rules.

8. Albums and client proofing

Album schedules depend on photographer/client feedback. Define revision rounds, proof-expiry periods and additional-round fees in the order. Pixeldotedit is responsible for design files, not third-party printing unless the order expressly includes print fulfillment.

9. Boudoir, private portrait and minor content

The photographer warrants that sensitive images were lawfully created and may be processed. Boudoir subjects must be adults. For minors, the photographer must obtain required guardian permissions. Sensitive files are not automatically licensed to Pixeldotedit for portfolio or advertising use.

10. Intellectual property

The photographer/client retains rights in submitted photographs subject to any third-party rights. Pixeldotedit owns its website, branding, internal tools, generic workflows and non-client-specific process documentation. No client photograph should be used publicly without separate permission.

11. File retention and backup

Pixeldotedit is not the photographer’s long-term archive. The photographer must keep originals and download completed work within the stated retention window. Backup systems reduce risk but are not a substitute for the photographer maintaining independent copies.

12. Confidentiality and data processing

Photographer data and client images should be handled under the Privacy Policy, Image Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum. Where the photographer is the data controller/business, Pixeldotedit should act only on documented service instructions.

13. Payment, refunds and chargebacks

Orders can require prepayment, card authorization or approved studio terms. Refunds, credits and revisions are governed by the Revisions & Refunds Policy. Disputed charges should be raised with support before initiating a chargeback so service records can be reviewed.

14. Limitation and governing law

Final warranty, liability caps, indemnities and governing-law language should be reviewed by qualified counsel. A Gurugram/Haryana-based operating company may choose Indian law and Gurugram jurisdiction, subject to mandatory rights that cannot legally be waived in a customer’s location.
